Meet Maana Parikh, the visionary behind Gear Up Sports Foundation. A 16-year-old student at Montville Township High School, Maana’s journey in sports began with varsity volleyball, supplemented by year-round club volleyball participation. Her athletic repertoire extends beyond volleyball, spanning lacrosse, gymnastics, swimming, skiing, and soccer.

Growing up in an immigrant household, Maana recognized the disparity in opportunities and the transformative impact sports had on her life. With lifelong lessons in teamwork and determination, sports became her sanctuary during stressful times. Inspired by her experiences, Maana founded Gear Up Sports Foundation, driven by the belief that every child deserves access to sports, irrespective of economic background.

Through Gear Up Sports Foundation, Maana aims to level the playing field by providing essential equipment and eliminating financial barriers. Join her in this noble endeavor as she empowers young athletes to pursue their passions fearlessly.
